WHAT I DID ON MY SPRING BREAK
the good, the bad and the ugly

Yes, I am up at 5am. Damned jet lag! I was so tired when I went to bed around 11:30pm last night then I kept waking up so I decided to just go ahead and get up. There's lot to tell about my trip - good, bad and ugly. I want to end on a positive note so I'll start you off with the ugly.

THE UGLY

This is what greeted me when I got home yesterday after spending 16 hours in transit. That's right, a broken window. Thankfully my house wasn't burgularized. The tornados that came through Georgia while I was gone sent a branch into my window, breaking all of the panes (double-paned glass at that) and bending the window frame. By the time I got everything cleaned up, Lowe's had closed so I wasn't able to buy another window last night. So now I have the ghetto house with cardboard taped over the window. Lowe's opens at 6am so I plan to head there bright and early this morning. Guess I'll be going in to work late.

THE BAD

jezchill advised that I get pictures (the ones you saw above) of the window for posterity's sake. As soon as I took the first picture, memory card error. I went upstairs to download the pictures from the trip since there was some kind of error. And guess what? That's right, taking the stupid window pictures made me lose all the pictures from my trip! Sigh...if anyone knows how to recover pictures from a CF memory card, please let me know! I'm sorely disappointed but jezchill took even more pics than me so at least I'll have some. What's more, my throat has been hurting since yesterday so I think I'm getting sick.

THE GOOD

Well it's back to unpacking for now. I'll fill you in with all the good stuff about the trip later. I will leave you with the pleasant surprise I found after I discovered the broken window. My brother came by the house with some of his friends last weekend to chill for a bit and borrow my bike. This is the note his friends left me. (I scratched out my name on the first page and their names and numbers on the second page.)
